Account Information: When you register, we collect details such as your name, email address, profile picture, DOB, Phone number and interests.

Location Data: To facilitate connections, we collect your GPS location. However, we employ strict privacy measures (see Section 2).

Communication Data: We process content from in-app chats, and we require permissions for your microphone and camera to facilitate audio and video calls.

Device Information: We may collect information about the device you use to access the app, including IP address and operating system.

User Content: Photos, videos, comments, activities (plans), chats, and audio calls within the App.

Usage Data: Ratings, feedback, reports made about activities or users, activity participation history.

2.⁠ ⁠Location Privacy & Safety

Your safety is our priority. Our app is designed to ensure your exact location is never exposed:

Obfuscated Distance: Even if two users are at the exact same location/stop, the app will display a minimum distance of 3 km.

1. Visibility Modes: You have full control over your visibility
2. Hidden: You are not discoverable.
3. Visible with Parameter: You choose a radius between 3km and 50km. Only your distance is shown, not your pin.
4. Visible to All: You are discoverable by the community based on distance.

3.⁠ ⁠How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to:

1. Connect you with nearby drivers based on interests.
2. Allow you to publish and join activities.
3. Enable in-app messaging and calling.
4. Improve app functionality and security.

4.⁠ ⁠Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information:

1. With other users (only what you choose to display on your profile).
2. With service providers who help us run the app (e.g., cloud hosting, Twillio and google).
3. If required by law to protect the safety of our users or the public.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure.

You can update your profile, change your visibility settings, or delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Initially, HaulerMates is available for users in Canada and the United States, but we aim to expand globally. Your data may be stored and processed in any country where we operate.
